Children’s Ministry
The Children’s Ministry team at Asbury works to provide Christian Education to our children and youth. Our children are active in our church and our commitment to them is important to us!  Our children and youth are integral to the present and future of Asbury!
Some of the ways the Ministry team provides Christian Education is through Sunday School, including an opening  assembly, held each Sunday from 9:50 – 10:00 AM. During this assembly our children sing songs, hear stories, play games, participate in skits, etc! What a great way for our children to jump start Sunday School each week!
During worship, our children ages 3 – third grade are invited to a special worship time planned just for them! Children’s Church is planned with a variety of experiences, including stories, games, singing, crafts, worship, and prayer. The purpose of this program is to give each child a greater love for the Bible and to experience the love of Jesus! Activity Folders with age appropriate activities are also available in either narthex for children ages 4 – 3rd grade to be used during regular worship services. A nursery is also available during all worship services.
Asbury also offers children evening fellowship opportunities. These groups are the Explorers and Discovery Groups, for ages K- 5 grade. These groups do art projects, play games, and most importantly, focus on mission opportunities for both our own church and the surrounding community.
Another wonderful project for the Children’s Ministry Team is Vacation Bible School! Each summer, Asbury holds a week-long Vacation Bible School for children ages 4 through 5th grade. The program is traditionally held one week in July in the   morning. Children explore their faith through Bible lessons, arts and crafts, music, and more. VBS registration is open to church and community children.
