Adult Ministry Team News - RISE, a new faith community with its contemporary worship format replaced the Wesley Foundation on JMU’s campus. But what about students who wish to attend a more traditional form of worship, with an intergenerational congregation? We at Asbury do not want to lose our link with the students, and if the interest is there, a chance to be paired with an Asbury family for a greater connection to the church and community. If you are interested about pairing with a student, please let Frank/Sherrel Hissong know, by phone at 434-4257 or e-mail (sfhissong@comcast.net). This relationship can be as casual or close as the paired student and family wish, from just being someone to greet the student at worship services or Asbury events, to planned get-togethers such as meeting for coffee for a chat, or a family dinner as a break from dorm food. We also want to welcome students from the other area colleges to Asbury, so please be on the lookout for any students at our services and let them know we care.
